Our Professional Equipment & Knowhow Saves You Time & Frustration

Perhaps you tried scanning photos yourself and got frustrated with the immense amount of time it takes and gave up.  That’s why we invite you to use our professional photo scanning service.  Each photo is carefully scanned at a high resolution on BOTH SIDES with image enhancement applied for the best possible digital results.  The digital images are then transferred to the media of your choice including DVD, Hard Drive or USB Drive. We can also set you up with a free cloud storage solution for even more security and instant accessibility.

Because we use professional grade scanning solutions, we can scan large numbers of photos in a short period of time.  Our system allows us to do in minutes what might take you days to accomplish.

We’ll Help You Get Your Photo Scanning Project Organized

We suggest grouping your photos. You can sort them by decade, individual year, events, families and more. Your finished photo archive will have your sorted photos in separate folders so you can easily access them. Since the images are scanned in high resolution (your choice of 300 dpi, 600 dpi or 1200 dpi), they can be printed at popular photo printing kiosks and stores.

Don’t wait. Take advantage of our professional photo scanning service today and preserve your irreplaceable precious memories for future generations.

Q&A on Photo Scanning

We scan images from postage size to 9″ x 12″.

We can. Please keep in mind that any images close to the binding are harder to get without pressing the book as flat as possible.

Very old images in flat cardboard frames are permanently glued. In most cases we can scan the entire frame and make it look nice.

Images in metal or glass frames must be removed by the customer prior to bringing them in for scanning.

Attempting to scan albums with photos under plastic or previously taped to pages is nearly impossible. We ask that all images be removed carefully from picture albums by the customer.

Remember to use extreme caution when removing photos from albums as the surface plastic may stick to the prints. The same amount of caution is needed when removing photos  taped to album pages or being held by a semi adhesive page surface.

There are many ways to have your photos converted to digital. You can just randomly have them scanned, you can sort them by year, by siblings, by family members, chronologically, by albums….well you get the picture…..

Over the years we’ve helped hundreds of families organize and preserve their most precious photographs to digital and we want to help you. Our best suggestion is call us at 815-228-2280 and we’ll discuss the best way to help you.

Absolutely. BUT…never use a Sharpie EVER. The reason is if you do and start stacking one picture on top of another, the undried ink transfers to the picture below it permanently ruining those pictures. Same goes for any pens or markers that don’t instantly dry. Also avaoi sharpened pencils or fine point pens as even slight pressure on the back of photos can make permanent outdents on the front.

Fortunately we have a solution to all of these problems. Purchase a box of small white adhesive circles on sheets at your favorite office supply store. write your numbers on the white circles from 1 to how many you have and let the ink dry completely. Then simply peel the circles off and stick them to the back of your photos. BOOM! Problem solved.

All you have to do is let us know you’d like both sides scanned of each photo. There’s no extra charge!

Absolutely! As long as the media is not damaged, we can access all of your old images and transfer them to modern storage media such as USB thumb drives.
